This is the recruitment page for Arma Realism unit. Please read it carefully before you proceed with the application. It is important you make sure that Arma Realism (REARM) is the right unit for you. Please read about what unit we are and what we do. You can also join our Teamspeak server to have a chat with enlisted members. The following step-by-step guide will not only make it easier for you, but will also make it easier for the recruiter to process the application if you follow the guide.
Step-by-step guide to join REARM - the Arma Realism unit.
1. Basic join Requirements
A) Minimum age is 15 years - no exceptions. B) You are not allowed to be a member of another Arma 3 clan. C) You must own a legal copy of Arma 3 and the Apex DLC. D) You must be able to attend at least 4 main Mission events (on Sundays) and 3 Regular Trainings each month. (tuesdays) E) Choose a role-play friendly name. Make sure it is something we can pronounce and in one word. F) Be able to set your attendance at least 24 hours prior to event start.
2. Basic expectations and rules
You must consider, and have made clear to yourself that military realism requires some of your time in your daily life. Beyond our minimum requirement for training and missions, there will be days where you have to take the time to make your game ready, update mods etc.
You must consider whether you are ready to take responsibility and be part of a unit who are dependent on you. This means that we count on you every time we play and when you do not show up, there are things that get stuck. You must have made up your mind whether you are ready to devote your time to the game and to our community.
You should not only be able to attend the least required number of training events, but you should also be able to know your needs so that you do attend in a number of events that fits you. This way you will learn to know your self, and you will also be able to maintain your skills in a way that suits your needs. In most cases 2 training events per month is not enough.
It is also important to set your attendance for every event. It is required to set it 24 hours prior to event start.
The unit uses common-sense rules to ensure a fun and respectful place to enjoy Arma 3. Maturity, respect, and common-sense (and an odd bit of humour) are expected qualities from all conscripts/members. You have to follow the chain of command. You have to show up for missions and trainings. Just use your common sense and avoid anything that can hurt the unit. If you can do these simple things you should have no trouble being in this unit at all; so just relax and enjoy your time here.
We need to have those rules in order to show respect for each other. We are all here because Arma 3 is a hobby - so please act like this is your hobby, just as people are playing football one or two times a week.
2.2 - Inactivity
If you are considered as an inactive member of REARM, you will be contacted by your direct superior. If nothing happens, the case will be forwarded to higher level leadership, whom will decide the next step. If you think you don't have the time required to play with us - please contact your superior immediately! It is always better that you notify us right away so we don't use too much resources to get in contact with you. It is also more respectful to the unit and the unit members if you notify us of your situation, instead of just ignoring us. Members that requests a discharge from the unit is ALWAYS welcome back. If you are discharged due to inactivity, you don't have the rights to re-enlist.
You are considered inactive if you do not meet the minimum requirements and/or do not attend enough training to stay up-to-date.
3. Definition of Realism
By submitting the application you are stating that you want to play in a so-called realism environment. What we do is "role play". We simulate real-life military in the game Arma 3. You can't be sure to get exactly the roles you want. You are ofcause welcome to strive to get a specific role - but that should not be a reason for you to be here or not. So please don't join with the expectation of going up the ranks quickly and getting the role you want. No matter your rank and role; you are here because realism is what you want. If you don't wish to participate in this manner, then this unit is likely not the place for you.
4. Basic understanding of the unit
Make sure you have read the "About us" to know what kind of unit we are and what we do. This will help you to realize if this unit is the right place for you to be. Ofcourse you can't be completely sure, but you come a long way by doing your homework well. In general, as a member of the unit, you have to do your "homework" - this makes things alot easier on missions, trainings etc.
5. The application process
Now that you have "completed" the four steps above, you can move on to the Recruitment form. Please use some time on it and be honest in every answer. Providing false information about yourself will result in rejection of application - or if it shows up that you provided false information after you got enlisted it will result in instant dishonorable discharge.
A) Fill and submit the recruitment form. B)If not rejected: Interview and screening with recruiter on Teamspeak. C) Approval of Recruitment Form and assignment of website and Teamspeak tags. D) You are now a Recruit in REARM, and you have to go through a training phase.
6. Training phase(s)
After you got through the interview and screening you will be assigned to a Squad as a Basic Rifleman. Your Squad Leader will help you throug the training phase where you have to learn basic stuff about Arma, our mods and also learn some basic military terms and tactics we use. You will learn this in the so-called Basic Training Course.
The time from you enlistment date until you complete the Basic Training Course is up to 3 weeks .
During your trail period you are able to attend all events - just as any other member of the unit - but you will be monitored to see if you can fit into this unit. But don't worry; use your common sense and you will be fine. After you pass the BCT test you'll be promoted to Private. You are now officially a full member of REARM, and are eglible to go through parts of the Response-Force Training Course which will give you competences to fill other roles than Rifleman.
Arma Realism welcome every person who can live with our expectations and want to become a member of a mature Arma 3 unit So please, don't hesitate to submit an application - your skill level doesn't matter !
